Tangdao Bay Art Museum is one of Qingdao’s Phoenix Island’s must see points of interest that will appeal to any art lover’s palette. It features a large collection of historic watercolor paintings dating back as far as the 16th century as well as periodic exhibitions by some of China’s most prestigious modern artists. A tasteful architectural design and expansive museum with exquisite ancient traditional watercolor panels and calligraphy make this tour a delightful cultural experience.
Heritage Chinaware from ancient dynasties, precious jade emulates and sculptures, antique scrolls are just a few of the precious collectable on display. The staff is very keen on answering questions and guiding through the two levels of the museum. And best of all is that it’s free.
The museum is conveniently located on the northeast side of Tangdao Bay just a short distance east of the Binhai Shopping Plaza. Plenty of free parking is available from the Binhai Dadao street entrance.
